Our work

Hotels, homes and weddings, season by season

The places we have worked in, and the flowers they asked for.

The portfolio

Made for one place, never repeated

This is a selection of work by Florium, a flower atelier in Sotogrande, family-run for over twenty years: arrangements for hotels, homes, yachts and weddings, each designed for one place and one season. These are a few pieces, not an archive: chosen because they show how we decide, not how much we make.

None of it can be ordered again. Each piece answered a particular space, its light and the flowers of that month, and every proposal is written for one client only. This page shows a way of working, not a menu. Much of our private work stays private, by its owners’ choice. Every photograph shows our own work.

01 · Hospitality

Hotels, restaurants and venues

In a hotel, a restaurant or a venue, the flowers have to belong to the building before they belong to the season. What matters is the scale in a lobby, the restraint near a dining table and how a design shifts as the months turn. Each piece is made for one property. Read how our hotel programmes work.

Tall almond blossom, olive and cream ranunculus in a dark vessel under a vaulted hotel lobby, soft courtyard light

Lobby · Early spring · Sotogrande

Lobby flowers in early spring

A single large arrangement for the lobby of a hotel in Sotogrande, early spring 2025. The hall is tall and lit from the courtyard, so we worked at height with almond blossom, olive and cream ranunculus in a dark ceramic vessel.

Low bowl of white garden roses, tuberose, jasmine and olive on a candlelit fine dining table

Restaurant · Midsummer · Costa del Sol

Fine dining flowers in midsummer

Twelve low pieces for a fine dining restaurant on the Costa del Sol, midsummer 2024. Dinner runs by candlelight, so we kept every piece below eye level: white garden roses, tuberose, jasmine and olive in brass bowls.

Rust chrysanthemums, pomegranate branches and olive in a tall stone vessel on a terrace bar at dusk, sea behind

Terrace · Autumn · Sotogrande

Terrace bar flowers in autumn

One sculptural piece for the terrace bar of a venue in Sotogrande, autumn 2024. The bar opens at dusk, so we chose colour that holds in low light: rust chrysanthemum, pomegranate branches and olive in a stone vessel.

02 · Private clients

Villas, yachts and residences

We show very little of the homes we work in. A villa, a yacht or a residence appears here only with its owner’s written permission, and never with a name, a view or a detail that could identify it. Here, you see the flowers, not the house. Our arrangements for private homes follow the same rule.

White hellebores, narcissus, eucalyptus and bare olive in a dark glazed vase on a walnut console, morning light on a lime-washed wall

Entrance hall · Winter 2025 · Sotogrande

Winter flowers for an entrance hall

A weekly arrangement for the entrance hall of a villa in Sotogrande, winter 2025. The hall is lime-washed and quiet in the morning, so we kept to white: hellebores, narcissus, eucalyptus and bare olive branches.

Compact bowl of garden roses, lisianthus and jasmine on a varnished teak table in a yacht saloon, marina light through the windows

Saloon · Summer 2024 · Sotogrande marina

A low piece for a yacht saloon

Fortnightly flowers for the saloon table of a yacht in Sotogrande marina, summer 2024. The table moves with the boat, so we used a weighted bowl and a compact form: garden roses, lisianthus and jasmine.

03 · Weddings

Bouquets, ceremonies and receptions

A wedding asks for three kinds of work: the bouquet held in the hand, the ceremony seen from every seat and the reception that runs into the night. Each one follows the venue and the month. Read how we take on weddings, or see the bridal bouquets we make.

A loose bouquet of cream and blush garden roses, sweet peas, jasmine and olive held in two hands against a sunlit white wall

Bouquet · Late spring 2024 · Costa del Sol

A bridal bouquet in late spring

The bouquet for a couple married on the Costa del Sol, late spring 2024. The ceremony was at midday against white walls, so we kept the form loose and the palette soft: garden roses, sweet peas, jasmine and olive.

Wooden chairs along an aisle between old olive trees, white and blush roses with delphinium on a weathered stone wall, golden hour

Ceremony · Late spring 2024 · Cádiz

Ceremony among the olive trees

An installation on a stone wall for a ceremony at a cortijo in the province of Cádiz, late spring 2024. The couple wanted the trees to lead, so the flowers followed them: white and blush roses, delphinium and olive branches.

A long reception table at night with a low runner of plum dahlias and garden roses among tall taper candles, string lights above

Reception · Autumn 2023 · Sotogrande

A long table into the night

A single runner for a reception of sixty in a finca courtyard near Sotogrande, autumn 2023. The dinner ran under candlelight, so we worked low and dark: plum dahlias, garden roses and foliage set among the tapers.

From our clients

“The flowers arrived before our guests did, and they were still the first thing anyone mentioned on the last evening.”

Questions about our work

No. Each piece was designed for one space, its light and the flowers of that month, and none of it is repeated. What we can do is design for your space in the same way. Begin a conversation and tell us about the place.

We name a property only with written permission from its owner or management. Without it, we give the type of space and the area, never a name, a view or a detail that could identify it. Private homes and yachts are never named.

Yes. Every piece shown was designed and set up by the atelier. Where a wedding photographer took the picture, the credit is theirs and appears beside the image.
