Wedding florist in Sotogrande

Fewer weddings each year, and more time for each one.

Our calendar

Eight weddings a year.
Every one, by application.

Florium is a wedding florist in Sotogrande, designing ceremony flowers, reception installations and the bridal bouquet in its atelier in Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro. We design with you and with your planner, if you have one. Every wedding starts from your venue, your style and your date, never from a catalogue.

We limit the number on purpose, because genuine attention cannot be scaled. A short calendar leaves room for each wedding: for the first conversation, for choosing what is at its best that month, and for the work on the day itself. The application is where that begins, and it lets us check your date and understand your wedding before anything is agreed.

  • Flowers chosen for the season of your date
  • No two weddings receive the same design
  • Meetings at the atelier or at your venue
  • A reply to every enquiry within 24 hours

Designed together, so they read as one.

What we design

Flowers for the whole day

A full wedding with Florium covers three parts of the day, designed together so they read as one. Each is planned around your venue, the light at that hour and what the season offers.

The ceremony

The ceremony is the moment guests take their seats and look ahead, so the flowers frame that view. For an outdoor ceremony, we design with the setting rather than against it, and with the hours of sun in mind. Pieces such as a ceremony arch or flowers along the aisle are agreed with you.

The reception

At the reception, attention shifts from a shared view to the tables where guests spend the evening. We design the reception installations to the scale of the venue and the number of guests, so they hold their own in a large space without crowding a small one. Centrepieces and larger installations are defined in your proposal.

What we design · The signature piece

The bridal bouquet

The bouquet is held rather than placed, which makes it the most personal piece of the wedding, and it is our speciality. In a full wedding it is designed alongside the ceremony and reception flowers. Read more about our bridal bouquets.

Step by step

From application to wedding day

Four steps, from your first message to the wedding itself.

01

The request

You start by sending us a few details about your wedding: the date, the venue, the number of guests and the style you have in mind. We reply within 24 hours and tell you whether your date is still open.

02

The meeting

We then meet, by appointment, at our atelier or at your venue. Your planner is welcome to join. We talk about the idea behind the wedding, the style you are drawn to and what will be in season on your date.

03

The proposal

Our proposal sets out the seasonal flowers, the palette, the scale of each piece and the mood, within the concept of your wedding. It follows the meeting, and once you approve it, your date is reserved.

04

The wedding

On the day, we set up the ceremony and reception flowers timed to the venue’s access, with your planner if you have one. Clearing away is agreed in advance. You and your guests arrive to flowers in place.

Destination weddings

Planning your wedding from abroad

Planning from abroad usually starts early, and most of it can be done at a distance. As a destination wedding florist on the Costa del Sol, we can hold the first meeting by video call and send the proposal with images and a colour palette you can review at home. If you visit the area before the wedding, we can also meet at the atelier by appointment. A planner on the ground can act as our link with the venue.

Florium has been run by the same family in this area for more than twenty years. To see the kind of work you would be choosing, look through weddings we have designed.

Before you apply

Questions about wedding flowers

Apply once your date and venue are confirmed; there is no need to have the rest decided. As we take on eight weddings a year, applying early gives you the clearest view of availability. The style, the palette and the details are developed later, in the meeting and the proposal.

We tell you in our first reply, so you can plan without losing time. We do not add a ninth wedding to the year, since that would undo the reason for the limit. If you would still like our work at your wedding, we can make the bouquet on its own, outside that calendar.

Yes. We work alongside your planner from the first meeting, and the design follows the concept you have already agreed with them. Our role is the flowers, not the direction of the wedding. Your planner can share the brief, timings and venue details with us, so decisions are not made twice.

Usually, yes, once we have checked the venue’s own rules. Some venues work with their own appointed suppliers or set fixed times for setting up, so we confirm this as soon as you apply. Venues in Sotogrande and the rest of San Roque are within our area; for anywhere further, tell us the location and we will confirm.

We choose flowers that are in season and hold up well in heat, and we time the set-up as close to the ceremony as the venue allows. When the ceremony is in the open air, we also plan around where the shade falls. No flower is immune to an August afternoon, so we design for the hours that matter most.

It depends on the size and shape of the wedding, so every price is set in the proposal. The main factors are the number of guests, the scale of the ceremony and reception installations, and the flowers in season on your date. The cost is agreed in full before your date is reserved.
